baby blanket or tablecloth

I used all kind of yarns which were left.
Yarn´s are soft and no scratchy.

I will use this as a blanket for the cot or the buggy. :)

The pattern was easy to made.
The surrounding was just one row right, second row left and so on.

I took circular needle 4,5
and
crochet hook 3.

Yarn needed about 400 g.

For the salmon color I needed about 150 g.
Wine red about 150 g.
Lila about 100 g.

Here´s another picture of the same pattern.

Broken round needle

Nice pattern going on at my newest dress.

I still have to knit about 15 cm and increase a bit more chains for the waist.
Size will be in S! Let´s see how I fit in it, as my baby bump is just growing.
:)

And by the way, I just sat on the needle and it broke in 3 pieces!
Shops are already closed, as it is Sunday evening...
So I hope the tape will last at least for this evening.
Tomorrow after work: shopping new needle in this size -.-
ARG!

Pink Tunic

Very easy to tunic to knit.
Yarn I used was Drops Cotton Light, in this beautiful pink.

Upper pattern looks hard, but was very easy to knit too!

Looks good with a belt and fits also for a baby-bump :)

Nice side picture.

This was a very fast pattern from Garnstudio.
It took me maybe about 4-5 weeks to finish.

You need about 400 g (for size S ) yarn from Drops Cotton Light. (for the pink: number 18)
And a round needle in size 3,5 and 3.

Tunic for the summer or pregnancy

I finally finished my long-time project!
It took me about half a year to complete it, because of the beautiful pattern.

The backside.

I think I will wear this with a belt.
And when my tummy is slowly growing to the spring/summer, I will have a perfect dress even for hot days.
:)

Side view with the belt

It was easy to knit, but the pattern will take you a long time!!!

The top.
Nice pattern in the yarn "Safran" from Drops.

Baby socks

After a long time I am finally back in knitting.
Actually I was knitting now and then on my longtime project, which you can see down under the socks.

For the first time I knitted baby socks.

In the beginning I was a bit confused how to knit the top of the socks and I had to open the work for a couple of times until I figured it out.
In the end, like always, it was pretty easy and I made both in only some hours.

Quiet cute, are they? :)

I got the pattern from a knitting book for baby clothes.

I tell you the pattern at the end of this blog entry in the way how I made it.

And here my longtime project, which kept me busy during the Christmas time as often as I came to knit to.

The pattern is not difficult, but much to count and it seems to need many month until I will get to finish it.

The yarn is my all-time favorite Safran again.
It´s very soft and slippery on the needle, but I love to wear it!

In the end it´ll be a kind of dress.
I will post more pictures later!!!!

The baby socks pattern:

SIZE: 0-3 month/ 3-9 month
Choose 2 yarn colors, you only need under 50 gr each color.

needle size 3,5

make 32/36 chains on the needle.
Then knit complete sock in  "always right" : first row right, second row left and so on

*****

2 rows first color (black), 2 row second color (white)

Knit like this until you get 7 cm of the stripes

*****

after this safe the first 12/13 and the last 12/13 chains on separate needle to continue them later
work only with the middle 8/10 chains!

Continue knitting the stripes for 4 more centimeters
While knitting this knit always the last chain left and the first chain right in cross!

*****

So you get a longer middle stripe row.
Now only use the main color, I had black.

Knit the first 12/13 chains, then make on the side of the long part 10/12 new chains.
Go to the top and knit the 8/10 chains.
Then on the other side go down and make 10/12 new chains again.
Then knit the last 12/13 chains.
You will get together 52/60 chains!
The work is pretty tight!!!

So knit continue knitting in always right for again 3 cm!

*****

The final part.

First row: knit edge chain (first), then 28/33 chains, 2 chains together right.
leave the rest chains on the needle, turn work!

Second row:  knit the first chain left, 7/9 chains right, knit 2 chains left together
turn work and knit the second row again.
Knit the second row again and again, turning the work again and again, until on each side are only 5/6 chains left.
So in the end you will get 18/22 chains.
Finish the work but ending all chains in one row.

Then sew the sock together.
Ready!
